Sandra Watts

Managing Director

Sandra believes that Developing People International has a fantastic, highly skilled, unique and experienced team. As the Managing Director of Developing People she works with her team and Developing People's clients to put into place the right interventions and convert their people development needs into business advantage. She gains great satisfaction from seeing the impact, outcomes and feedback from clients when Developing People work in partnership with them to deliver the interventions which make a real difference to their organisations and most importantly the people who work for those organisations.

Sandra joined Developing People in 2008 following a career as a Supply Officer in the Royal Navy where her roles included working for NATO; Systems Analyst on the Naval Manpower Management Information System and in the Royal Naval Leadership School for Leadership and Management. She has undertaken a variety of Leadership and Management and Professional Courses and enjoyed many physical, team and leadership challenges during her career and now thoroughly enjoys being part of the Developing People team and working with many long standing and valued clients to improve individual, team and organisational performance.

Nicole Bachmann

Trainer and Consultant

Nicole is a professional trainer and coach specialising in coaching senior high flying executives and facilitating diverse groups across many nationalities and cultures into close knit high performing teams. She also facilitates leaders and managers to improve their skills in areas such as: leadership, personal effectiveness, performance management, accountability, communication and creative problem solving. Nicole has a strategic business background, a Master in Law, and has over 4000 hours experience of one to one and group leadership coaching. Nicole has significant experience of working in media, global manufacturing, global food, investment banking software and IT companies. Nicole has conducted telephone coaching for clients in Asia – both Asian nationals and European expats and has also coached several Indian Senior Executives based in Europe. She is the author of Speaking Volumes, Unprecedented and Business Wise and is a Fellow of the Institute for Independent Business, and a founding member of the International Association of Coaches. Nicole is a native Austrian and speaks German, English, Italian and French fluently.

Gill Burt

Trainer and Consultant

Gill is an experienced professional coach and facilitator with over 15 years experience in people development, designing and delivering highly interactive learning sessions. Accredited at ICF PCC level and ILM Level 7 executive coaching,she is skilled in helping clients to heighten their self-awareness, re-discover their authenticity and proactively address the challenges in their professional and personal lives.

Gill’s style of connecting with clients combines warmth and generosity with challenge and testing, empowering them to set compelling outcomes, expose strengths and interferences to success and to create constructive action plans. Gill has worked with individuals and teams in all roles from Operations to CEOs in SMEs, Central and Local Government and many multinational organisations. She helps people make better decisions for themselves and their businesses, develop more effective relationships and working practices, broaden their thinking and behavioural styles, manage change and uncertainty and navigate their career and personal development.

Gill spent 15 years as a Chartered Landscape Architect. working in Local Government, Development Corporation and Charities in the UK, Seychelles and Madagascar and private practice in Australia. Gill designed and managed small to large-scale projects from inception to completion, involving team, stakeholder relationship and financial management. She became interested in people development in the 1990s when she mentored year-out students and graduates preparing for academic and professional qualifications in the UK and Australia and started teaching English language to business people from all over the world.

Gill is passionate about continuous professional development and has regular supervision. In addition to executive coaching credentialing her professional development includes qualified practitioner in MBTI Step I & II, Hogan Assessments, Master Practitioner in NLP, Timeline TherapyÔ and Hypnotherapy, systemic coaching, equine assisted learning, Domancic bio-energy therapy, Transactional Analysis and interactive online learning facilitation.

Julia Carden

Trainer and Consultant

Julia is a HR Consultant with over twenty years’ experience, who specialises in Learning and Development. Her areas of expertise are in coaching, behavioural change, helping organisations move on from work place conflict; Leadership and Management training and development. She has worked extensively in the public and private sectors and has a track record of working with a variety of diverse teams. Julia is a Chartered Fellow of the CIPD, NLP Master Practitioner, is a licensed CIPD assessor and advisor (NVQ A1 and V1), is BPS Level A and Level B qualified, SDI (Strength Deployment Inventory) practitioner and is also a qualified Prince 2 Project Manager practitioner .

Julia's passion is coaching in the field of “behavioural change”, she holds a MSc in Executive Coaching and has achieved European Individual Accreditation as a Senior Practitioner through the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC EIA Senior Practitioner). . She has attained the “Further and Adult Education Teachers’ Certificate”, and is a graduate member of Chartered Institute of Company Secretaries and Administrators (ACIS). She is passionate about her own CPD and regularly partakes in coaching supervision; alongside this she is currently training with Nancy Kline in using a Thinking Environment approach to coaching and facilitation.

Amie Crews

Trainer and Consultant

Amie is an experienced, qualified Executive and Leadership Coach and Learning & Development practitioner with expertise in Talent Management and Organisational Development. She lives life with a positive outlook and an approach to work that is energetic and enthusiastic. Possessing strong inter-personal skills, Amie has the ability to identify and cultivate the potential in people as well as setting and achieving personal development objectives.

Resourceful and pragmatic, with a natural ability to integrate well with an established team, she has the focus and motivation needed to complete complex projects. Amie brings a gentle yet highly motivational way of provoking thinking, which helps her achieve fantastic outcomes for those she partners with. She has great energy and creates a space which enables clients to have a relaxed focus that leads to real breakthroughs.

STUART GRAHAM

Stuart is a customer service specialist who focuses on developing communication skills. For over 30 years, he has designed and delivered service development and improvement programmes for customer facing organisations, helping individuals to: -

He helps organisations to develop a "service culture” which can involve: - involving writing service strategies, establishing service values and behaviours, weaving the values into the fabric of the organisation, setting service standards (measuring them using mystery customers) and training managers and frontline staff in service handling skills and techniques. He has a reputation for "making a difference" in any people situation, either on a one to one basis or influencing in a group presentation.

Stuart has worked with amongst others the National Trust, the British Museum and the Royal Albert Hall. He has delivered programmes as far afield as the Museum of Islamic Art in Qatar. Previously Stuart has worked for National Garden Festivals, The Mersey Ferries, and management consultancies L&R Leisure and Scher International. and has designed and delivered: -

Leanne Hoffman

Trainer and Consultant

Leanne is a coach, trainer and consultant specialising in leadership, employee and organizational development. Leanne has nineteen years’ experience working as a Management Consultant for Andersen, and in Organisational Development for Tesco Limited and SAGE Publications and as a freelancer for a range of companies.

Over the years she has learnt much about how to motivate, engage and develop people so they can perform to the best of their abilities and contribute significantly to the organisations they work for. Leanne is interested in how you bring about lasting change and support people in achieving this. Leanne also has experience of working with women to help them find and reach their true vocation.

In addition Leanne is a registered and accredited psychotherapist with 10 years’ experience of working with clients. This has enabled her to gain a deeper understanding of people’s emotional world and how this influences their behaviour, performance and development.

She uses this to inform her work and often includes Cognitive Behavioural tools to help build self-awareness, manage emotional responses like stress, and increase emotional intelligence and resilience; enabling people to thrive. Leanne is also qualified in the use of the DISC (behavioural profiling tool) and is a Situation Leadership (Ken Blanchard) trainer.

Russell Houghton

Trainer and Consultant

Russell brings 20 years of global expertise in leadership development and talent management. He has been involved with identifying the competencies required for success and in assessing and developing senior managers, key account managers and emerging talent globally. Working in the pharmaceutical, medical technology, engineering and financial services sectors, Russell has successfully developed and implemented innovative global talent management strategies and leadership development programmes. He has worked with a wide variety of organisations including Sanofi, BBraun, Wavin, HSBC and Lloyds Bank, conducting activities across Europe, India, China, Japan, Korea, Singapore, the USA and Saudi Arabia.

Russell moved into consultancy in 2009 after 6 years as the Head of Global Senior Management Development for IMI plc, a UK based FTSE100 global engineering company. Whilst at IMI he implemented an innovative talent management strategy to identify and develop talent both inside and outside of the group. He created a senior management talent pool and international programmes to recruit and develop senior leaders, key account managers and aspiring graduates into top performing senior managers. It was at Lloyds Bank, that Russell built his management experience and expertise in leadership development and talent management. His career with Lloyds encompassed roles ranging from branch management to leading training and development and executive succession and talent management initiatives.

His areas of expertise include leadership development, developing key account and sales 'academies' to improve selling, negotiation and customer focused leadership capabilities, leading culture change programmes, team effectiveness activities, strategy development and coaching of commercial leaders. Margit Jones-Hochstrasser

Phil La Violette

Phil La Violette is a management development consultant and coach who has worked in a wide range of industries, including; Banking, Insurance, Car Industry, Food Retail, Telecoms, Local Government and Energy. As a consultant he has recently worked on a number of projects for organisations such as: Aviva, Barclays, BT, British Nuclear Group, HBOS, insurethebox, RBS, Vodafone, Volvo.

Naina Oliver

Naina Oliver is an ILM Level 7 accredited Executive Coach and an ICF accredited Organisational, Relationship and Systems Coach (Orsc™ CRR Global).

Working with teams and individuals, Naina draws on her background in psychology, communications and business. Her career began in journalism and broadcasting. It entailed, travelling the world, interviewing politicians, heads of government, A-list celebrities and managing teams. Naina has 20 years of international experience working in print, radio and TV with the BBC, Channel 4 and Sky TV. Alan Sears

Alan has over twenty years’ experience in the development of management and leadership skills. He is a charismatic presenter with the knowledge and practical experience of leading and managing large and small teams in complex and competitive environments.

In 1996 Alan took a sabbatical to join the yacht Toshiba Wave Warrior in the BT Global Challenge round-the-world yacht race. The race was used as a case study of teams and leadership in dynamic and challenging environments. Toshiba finished second and whilst on the race Alan was commissioned to write a book based on his experiences. Returning from the race Alan used the experience to focus his work on the assessment and development of high performance behaviours in executives and top teams.

Alan has worked across a wide variety of sectors: with large corporates and blue chips and with much experience in the public sector and local government. His clients have included all three of the world’s top global investment banks, and many other financial institutions. David Skipsey

David is a training and development specialist with 16 years of experience in delivering training, coaching, mentoring and consultancy work to a wide range of clients across the public, private and charity sectors. Much of his work has been in relation to strategy and change as well as leadership, management and business skills development.

David has worked at all levels of large organisations from shop floor operators through to executive top teams. He has also worked closely with owners and managers of a range of smaller organisations.

Karen Williams

Naveed Babariya

Karen Barker

Trainer and Consultant

Karen is a highly driven, positive and pragmatic coach, mentor, facilitator and people development specialist. During her 19 year career she has led recruitment and high potential leadership development strategies across a wide spectrum of sectors including Investment Banking, Actuarial, Human Resources Consulting and leading Business Schools. Jayne Beresford

Jayne is an experienced Business Psychologist, trainer and coach. John Douglas Bonney CBE

Trainer and Consultant

John was awarded the CBE in the Queens New Year’s Honours list in 2015. He has been one of the leading figures in the UK Fire and Rescue Service with more than 33 years’ experience working in the sector. During this time he led Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service for 11 years, an organisation that has an international reputation for its technical expertise, innovation and leading edge performance. John is director of the National Fire Protection Association, a major global advocate for better fire safety based in the USA.

His strategic perspective and board level experience mean his focus tends to be with corporate leaders and senior teams. His interest and strengths are in helping clients from the public and private sectors develop inspiring leadership, manage successful change and build more healthy cultures.

As an executive coach he works both with teams and individuals helping them to thrive by meeting personal and professional challenges. John has extensive experience working with senior executives in all three sectors as well as central government. This has given him a valuable insight into not only effective leadership but also the critical skill of building fruitful partnerships. Throughout his career and latterly through formal training he has learnt the power of adopting a coaching approach both for individuals and teams. He graduated from the prestigious Academy for Executive Coaching in early 2014 and since then has built an impressive client base working both with individuals and corporate teams.

John is an adept communicator and has extensive experience as a public speaker both in the UK and across the globe having presented to audiences drawn from a variety of professions and sectors. He has had numerous commissions focusing on such subjects as innovation, resilient leadership and cultural transformation.

John has a first degree in Politics from York University, a Masters in Business Administration and is one of the select Chartered Directors from the prestigious Institute of Directors. John also works as a trustee to Action Hampshire a local based charity dedicated to training, advocacy and innovation in the not for profit sector.

Diana Clarke

Trainer and Consultant

Diana has over 25 years of experience in leadership and personal training and development in Spain and France for organisations such as Kraft, Heineken, AEGON Insurance, Huawei, Repsol, BP, Técnicas Reunidas, Novo Nordisk, Tempe (Zara Group) and latterly CEMEX where she developed an in-house mentoring program for their EMEA high potential managers. Diana has coached by skype, mentored and trained managers in India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.

Diana is a graduate of London University and is a certified practitioner in NLP applied to coaching and training.

Her sector experience includes Banking, Consulting, Food and Drink, Healthcare and Pharmaceuticals, Engineering, Aviation, and Retail, New Technologies and Energy.

Kathryn Critchley

Kathryn is an experienced Coach, Therapist and Trainer, an ultimate performance specialist who helps individuals and organisations consistently achieve extraordinary results.

With over 14 years’ experience of high-pressure sales and management roles in the telecoms industry with organisations such as BT and Orange and over 10 years’ experience working with the NHS, she understands the dynamics of leadership, talent development, team-building, change management, employee motivation and organisational productivity.

Stuart Harris

Stuart has been a workshop facilitator, coach, consultant and keynote speaker for the last 17 years. He delivers workshops on Sales, Service, Soft Skills and Frontline and Middle Management Development. His workshops are interactive whether delivered face-to-face or virtually.

Prior to moving into consultancy Stuart held various roles in Sales, Service and Management in businesses such as Coca Cola as well as a number of Field Sales & Contact Centres and Hospitality across the UK.

For 7 years, he worked for TeleTech UK (part of one of the world’s largest Outsourcer), responsible for the training Design, Development, Delivery and Evaluation of Sales, Customer Service and Tech Support teams, the Skills Development of Junior and Middle Managers as well as managing the Quality Assurance team, who call-monitored, evaluated and reported on over 20 outsourced operational teams.

After qualifying as a pharmacist, Lindsey spent a decade working at senior managerial levels in the retail sector in operational and district management roles. Lindsey then moved into a learning and development role, developing commercial and managerial skills for technical professionals. As Head of Learning and Organisational Development for a pan European private healthcare organisation, Lindsey was accountable for clinical professional development and developing in-house programmes of development to drive organisational competence and maximise performance.

Lindsey began working in consultancy in April 2007 and works across the public and private sector with key clients such as the NHS, Microsoft, Mizuho International, Essent Trading, EMI, and Warwick Business School where she provides facilitation and coaching on their MBA programme.

Laurence James
